2020 Commencement

Friday, May 29, 2020 at 8 p.m.
Regents Football Field

  • Junior/Senior Stoling
    • Thursday, May 28, at 7 p.m. on the plaza
    • Juniors need to wear their chapel uniform, Seniors need to wear their gown with no cap. You will receive more information for the Stoling ceremony the morning of.

  • Commencement:
    • Friday, May 29, at 8 p.m. on the Regents Football Field
    • Program will be about 1.5 hours long

  • The State of Texas requires a health screening of all attendees. Each family member will need to review a checklist and state that they are not a health risk due to COVID-19. Each family will need to fill out this waiver by 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, to participate in commencement.
  • Please arrive no earlier than 7:30 p.m. to help to ensure safety.
  • Social distancing is critical to maintaining a safe environment. We will be designing the space to help your family maintain proper social distancing. Please honor other families by maintaining social distance of 6 feet.
  • Wearing masks in public is being strongly encouraged for the safety of others. All attendees will be required to wear masks as they walk from the parking lot to their family pod. Once you are seated, masks can be removed. Graduates will not be required to wear masks when they walk up to accept their “diplomas.”
  • Please exit campus immediately after the commencement ceremony. Please do not take any group photos with other families while on campus.

  • Each senior is allowed up to 5 guests that will join them in their “family pod.” Any additional guests will be refused entry. 
  • Seniors will not be a part of the processional/recessional to maintain social distancing. Seniors will go straight to their family pod upon arrival. You will receive your family pod assignments on Friday morning, May 29.
  • Because the commencement date was changed, new diplomas are being printed with the new date. Students will receive empty diploma sleeves during the commencement ceremony. The school will mail your official Regents diploma over the summer.
  • There will not be golf cart escorts at the event. There are not adequate ADA facilities on the baseball field.  Walking surfaces are not concrete, and while wheelchairs will work, one might encounter difficulty pushing wheelchairs over grass and crushed granite.
  • The rain date is Saturday, May 30, at 8 p.m. If it also rains on the rain date, there will not be a commencement ceremony.

  • Attire for commencement is sundresses and golf shirts. Our seniors will graduate in cap and gown. When choosing shoes, be mindful you will be walking on uneven, unpaved ground.  
  • Seniors, do not decorate your mortar board.
