Carol Brooks

Grammar Music
Carol Brooks has been in Christian education teaching music for over 20 years. She has worked with children from a variety of cultures utilizing multiple teaching modalities.

Her music journey began with her father, who was a violinist.  He was a great influence in her development and appreciation of music.  As a member of the Kuala Lumpur’s Symphony Orchestra he provided an early and beautiful home environment in which to grow up.  She has fond memories of the many hours he practiced, rehearsed, and performed in professional orchestral concerts.

Music has been a lifelong passion, which included learning the piano, both Theory and Practical, under the British Royal Schools of Music based in Malaysia, earning her Bachelor of Music and Masters of Music degrees at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.  In support of teaching children at a very young age, she earned her Orff Schulwerk Levels I, II, and III certifications through the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.

She enjoys gardening, trying new recipes, restoring musical instruments, and doing home renovations with her husband.
