Fine Arts Private Lessons

Private Lessons

We are extremely proud of the amazing group of private music teachers who have been selected to teach in the Fine Arts division at Regents. We know they stretch, challenge and serve our musicians every week. One or more of these music educators have simply come because of an amazingly positive interaction with a Regents student musician that they have played next to "out in the world!" We know each teacher adds tremendous value to the program and we hope you will take full advantage of their services during your time at Regents. They love Regents students, their craft and their God and we have seen much blessing from this one-on-one instruction.

In true Regents tradition, each teacher below will host a recital at the end of each semester to showcase student achievement and will also showcase their own work as an artist as part of the performance.

  • Greg Giacona - Piano

Greg Giacona is not only an accomplished pianist but also a producer and arranger. Born and raised in Texas, studied from a young age, with one goal in mind – to compose and perform great music for everybody to enjoy.
Greg, with years of commercial piano, has a strong classical background. After decades of performing, working and playing in the Houston area, he has recently made Austin his home.
Drawn to the piano at a very early age, his talent and passion were immediately evident and greatly encouraged by his parents. In his professional studies, “...a professor introduced me to the music of Bill Evans,” Greg muses, “and I was hooked.” His own original and richly-textured Fusion album, “We Dream As One”, continues to garner him attention as both a composer and producer. As an arranger, he loves to craft sonic landscapes for client projects in his studio.
  • Belinda Haggard - Piano

Belinda Haggard, a former Regents parent, has been teaching piano at Regents since 2010.  Serving several years as a substitute teacher and a chapel accompanist  gives her a unique insight into the trivium.  She uses this to develop individually designed classical lessons and works creatively with all stages- from young beginners who need to march around and clap,   to  well-established pianists  looking for collegiate level studies.  Mrs. Haggard will gently guide all students to learn theory, technique, artistry, sight reading, notation, ear training, and how to perform, with a smile!
