Regents Endowment Fund

Why support the Endowment?

Upon the founding of the school, making a Regents education affordable has been a key component of our financial structure. Generous contributions, motivated by a belief in our school’s mission, have afforded us a talented and caring staff as well as beautiful, unencumbered facilities. These resources serve to foster an environment where students can pursue education and personal development, all delivered within a classical framework with a Christian worldview.

Ensuring that we can deliver our experience to future students, while maintaining a mission centric and cost aware posture, compels current families to also give consideration to subsequent generations, just as those before us have done.

The Bible is replete with parables and proverbs that illuminate and guide Christians to pursue stewardship and selfless giving.  Indeed we recognize that the Lord is the source of all blessings and that we are simply “regents” of his creation, charged with judiciously administering His affairs while anxiously awaiting His return.  This should provide comfort and assurance that one’s generosity reflects well, as it has always been intended for the purpose of building His kingdom.

One way that you can play a role in perpetuating our school’s mission is by contributing to our Endowment Fund. Proverbs 21:20 reminds us to provision for a time of need and Proverbs 30:25 reminds us that establishing provisions is not just a luxury of the wealthy.  Through contributions and growth, our Endowment Fund has grown measurably, providing almost $400,000 in tuition assistance over the past 7 years.  As you consider year-end gifting, or are contemplating next year’s budget, please consider our Endowment.

Please join us in prayerfully considering assisting in growing our Endowment. In doing so, we believe future generations will have more affordable access to our classical and Christian educational experience, thus further empowering students to have a meaningful impact in furthering His kingdom.

An Investment Committee appointed by the Endowment Board is the fiduciary responsible for directing and monitoring the investment management of the Endowment Fund’s assets. This committee is comprised
of RSA community members with business, legal, and/or investment management experience.

  • What are the investment objectives of the Fund?

In order to meet its needs, the investment strategy of the Endowment Fund is to emphasize total return; that is, the aggregate return from capital appreciation and dividend and interest income. The fund has these goals:
    • Liquidity - To ensure the ability to meet all expected or unexpected cash flow needs by investing in securities which can be sold readily and efficiently.
    • Preservation of Purchasing Power - To achieve return(s) in excess of the rate of inflation over the investment horizon in order to preserve the purchasing power of Fund assets. Risk control is an important element in the investment of Fund assets.
    • Growth and Income - To achieve a balanced return of modest growth of principal and current income.
    • Long-Term Growth of Capital - To emphasize long-term growth of principal while avoiding excessive risk. Short-term volatility will be tolerated to the extent that it is consistent with the volatility of a comparable market index.
