Knightline Competes at TAPPS State Dance Championship
Team takes 5th as well as five girls receiving All State Honors! Watch their jazz or lyrical routine!
This past weekend, Knightline competed in the TAPPS state dance championship in Belton, TX. The team competed in the Division 1 large category and was 5th place overall. Both their jazz and lyrical routines were executed beautifully, and they represented Regents so well. Great job team! Additionally, 5 girls were recognized with all-state awards and received their certificates and medals at the competition. Avery de Jong received honorable mention, Talaya Frazier and Riley Devlin were award all-state second team, and Mallory Nagel and Lauren Chavez were awarded all-state first team. This year, TAPPS held individual contests to recognize girls with the best technique at the competition. Each of the 23 directors nominated their best high kickers, leapers, and turners to compete to be a part of an all-star company. Riley Devlin was one of 5 girls who made the Honor High Kick Company, Mallory Nagel was one of 7 girls who made the Honor Leap Company, and Lauren Chavez was one of 5 girls who made the Honor Turn Company. Lauren was also named the top turner of the competition. Both of the routines the girls performed on Saturday will be featured in the Spring Show on May 1 and 2, and we would love for you to come out to see them.
