Kristin Ayrault

Visual Art — School of Logic
Kristin had a unique upbringing that shaped her intellectually and emotionally.  With her father’s job in the oil & gas industry, Kristin (and her family) lived in Egypt, Norway, and Holland from the age of 5 until she went to college. Kristin discovered a love for drawing and painting, and vividly remembers painting on the sandy balcony of her family’s home in Cairo.  She saw extreme poverty & discrimination, but learned the importance of compassion, generosity, and community.  During these years, Kristin fell in love with the Lord, gave her life to Christ, and experienced the power of God through prayer with a life-changing miracle.

With the guidance of her Art teacher, Kristin attended the Ringling College of Art & Design where she specialized in Illustration.  Kristin began in the private sector before following her goal of becoming an art teacher.  In her spare time, Kristin loves to make art and spend time with her family.  While living in France, Kristin met her husband on a basketball court in Paris.  They have two children, both students at Regents.

A book that has greatly influenced Kristin’s life, apart from the Bible, is called Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.  Gladwell takes a deep dive into what makes extraordinary people exceptional.  The “Parable of the Talents” in Matthew chapter 25 goes hand-in-hand with her love for this book.  Kristin has experienced the power of God through the act of creation, as artists and children of God.  Devoting prayer, time, and faith to developing the gifts that God has so graciously given her, while serving the Lord and the Kingdom with those talents through community is a constant in Kristin’s life.
