Critical thinking. It’s something that was demanded of me day in and day out in high school at Regents. Who would have thought that upon arriving at Duke, my professors would compliment me on this ability?
When learning is conducted as Coram Deo it becomes not just thinking, but worship. That is perhaps the greatest thing that Regents academics has taught me – that learning can be worship.
Without you and the team at Regents I do not believe I would have had the courage and skills to stand up in front of strangers with higher places in the government hierarchy and tell them they need to do better.
We came to Regents to protect our child from the world; now we know we are here to prepare him for the world.
I am convinced that every major opportunity I have had is because you taught me to know my audience and to have presence even when unprepared.
