Raylin Hooks

Grammar Music
Raylin Hooks is the 4th Grade music teacher and the 5th and 6th grade choir director at Regents School of Austin. Originally from Lumberton, Texas, Ms. Hooks completed both her Master of Music degree and Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas with a concentration in clarinet performance. While in college, she was actively involved with the North Texas Wind Symphony, Concert and Opera orchestras, and choir. When not teaching, singing, or playing the clarinet, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her shih-tzu. Some of her favorite composers are J.S. Bach, Johannes Brahms, Giocomo Puccini, and Eric Whitacre. Above all, Ms. Hooks believes as image-bearers, humans uniquely have a commission to create to the praise and glory of God.
