Kati Butler, Director of Admissions and Casey Martin, Admissions Coordinator
Last spring, I announced that longtime Director of Admissions Becky Tucci would be retiring after 20 years at Regents and that we would begin our search to fill that role. This is an incredibly important position at Regents as it is the gateway to our community. We were looking for someone who is a great leader, discerning, faithful, welcoming, and has tremendous knowledge of our community and of the unique Regents admissions process.
I am thrilled to announce today that Kati Butler has accepted the role as the new Director of Admissions. In this role, Kati will also be a part of the school’s senior staff leadership team.
Kati has an extensive background in education, counseling, and college admissions, having most recently served as Director of Advising for online classical Christian school Wilson Hill Academy. Kati has been an active volunteer at Regents, serving as an admissions interviewer, Homeroom Mom Chair, New Family Host Chair, and chair for a variety of Regents events over the years. Kati and her husband Gordon are parents to Hannah (6th grade) and David (4th grade), and they are beloved members of our Regents community.
Kati wanted to share:
From the moment we entered Regents for our interview over six years ago, we have felt at home in this supportive community. I have considered it an honor to walk alongside new families as an admissions volunteer as they find the path God has planned for their children’s education. I am thrilled to step into this new role and enter it with expectation for all that the Lord has in store for the future of our school.
I am also happy to announce that Casey Martin will be joining the Admissions team as Admissions Coordinator. You may recognize Casey because she has been a regular volunteer at the front desk, and she and her husband Greg are parents to Francie (7th grade) and Finley (5th grade). Casey will be filling the role for Kelli Moore who is leaving to have the flexibility to travel more with her husband. Kelli has been a faithful servant in Admissions. She and her husband are recent empty nesters and are excited about their new season to travel and spend more time with family.
Casey will join Admissions Coordinator Jenny Sampognaro, who has done an outstanding job since joining the Admissions team in 2018.
I am thankful that Becky is staying on this semester to help with the transition. Kati and Becky have worked closely together over the years on admissions events and interviews, so I know the transition will be seamless. Becky has built an amazing admissions department, and I am confident this new team, with Kati’s leadership, Casey’s hospitality, and Jenny’s experience, will build on the strong foundation Becky has spent her career building.
Please join me in congratulating Kati and praying for her and her family as she takes on her new role as Director of Admissions.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Dan Peterson, Ph.D.
