If someone were to ask me, “Why do you love Regents?,” I would have a lot to say.
I love Regents because the Lord is here. His presence is made known in the love and care that the teachers and coaches pour into these children. His presence is made known in Moms’ Prayer and Dads’ Prayer as prayers and petitions are laid at His feet. His presence is made known when we see Him answering these prayers so specifically, whether it be for provision for the school, for protection over our school, or for healing of illness. His presence is made known when children go to the garden and see plants growing from the seeds they planted. His presence is made known when athletic teams pray on the court or field before and after games whether they win or lose. His presence is made known in the wonderful performances at the Fine Arts Festival where we see how He has gifted our children with so much talent and potential. His presence is made known when Grammar teachers thoughtfully pick attributes of God for character rocks for the children in their class. His presence is made known when teachers or administrators will pray with parents for whatever they need.
We wanted our children to be where the Lord is and be pointed to His goodness, His love, His grace, and His mercy. Here, the Lord is revered, honored, and worshipped. An education without the Lord is not really an education. As I have gotten to reflect over the last 18 years here, I have seen the Lord at work, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the RPC Chair this year alongside so many dedicated parents who want to serve the Lord by serving at Regents. “In His presence is Fullness of Joy.”
Another opportunity for the Lord to make His presence known on our campus will be this Saturday, February 2, at Moms’ Boot Camp. We, as mothers, need time with other moms to reflect on so many things and take in the wisdom from moms who have gone before us as well as be encouraged by and encourage those coming behind us. It’s not too late to sign up!
