Tell us about you and your family.
I was born in Houston, TX. Eventually my family moved to Oklahoma and then to California. I graduated from the University of California, San Diego. And in 2001, I married my college sweetheart, Christy. In 2008, Christy and I joyfully welcomed a baby boy into our family through the gift of adoption. In 2014, my little posse of three moved from San Diego to Austin. We’re grateful to be Texans!
    What quotable quote inspires you?
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)
What would we be surprised to learn about you?
After years of journeying through infertility, Christy and I felt led to adopt. We registered with an agency and created an online adoption profile video. Shortly after, we got the “call” that forever changed our lives. Eventually, CNN.com wrote an article about our adoption story. In 2013, my wife and I started A.B.I.D.E. Ministry (an adoption and infertility ministry) in San Diego. We love hearing miracle stories of answered prayers for children.

    What are your favorites?
Coffee, chicken wings, fishing, the great outdoors, tennis, but best of all, I love spending time with my family.
